Pandesal (Filipino Bread)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 Tsp or 1 pack active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, 2 tsp sugar and let is sit for 10-15 mins until foamy
  • Mix flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl or mixer
  • Add Sugar, butter, and egg
  • Mix until all ingredients are incorporated and form a smooth dough.
  • Transfer to a light greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour or until the size is doubled.
  • Divide dough into 24 equal parts and shape it into a ball.
  • Dip dough into the breadcrumbs and arrange in a pan.
  • Let it rise for another 20 mins.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F
  • Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
