Fried Mahi-Mahi Japanese Style
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 12 ounces mahi-mahi filets or any mild white fish
- 2 cups vegetable oil or enough to fill the pan 1/4 in ch deep
- 1-2 Egg for coating
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 cup Panko
Toppings
- Kewpie Mayonnaise
- Okonomi Sauce
- Bonito Flakes
Instructions
- Cut the fish into 1×3 inch slices.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg for coating.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Coat the fish in the following order: Egg, flour mix, egg again and panko then then flour.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated fish but don’t crowd the pan. Cook for 2 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Carefully flip the pieces over with tongs, and cook another 2 minutes or until the other side is golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Top it off with Kewpie mayo, Okonomi Sauce and Bonito flakes.
- Serve and Enjoy!
