Ingredients

  • Cooking Oil

Fish Balls

  • 1 lb fish fillet
  • 3/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp onion
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp spring onion finely chopped

Sweet and Sour Fish Ball Sauce

  • 1 pc onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

Fish ball mix

  • Place fish in food process to puree
  • In a bowl mix fish, corn starch, salt, baking powder, sugar, water, onion, garlic and spring onion.
  • Chill for 30 mins.
  • In a pan, heat cooking oil.
  • Deep fry for 3-4 mins until golden brown.

Fish Ball Sauce

  • In a saucepan mix water, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
  • Let it boil.
  • In a small bowl, dissolve corn starch and water; mix in until the sauce thickens.
